This Ladera Heights home, built in the 1950s, carried with it decades of layered family history-once
sheltering two families under one roof. Though rich in original charm, including a breezeway entry,
wood-burning fireplace, and expansive windows, the home lacked the connectivity and comfort
needed for contemporary life.
A simple yet elegant entryway welcomes visitors into a bright, open living space. The redesigned layout unifies previously divided kitchen, dining and family rooms, allowing natural light and social energy to flow seamlessly throughout the home.
A small niche offers a thoughtful pause near the entry – a place to set down the day’s carry, stow away clutter, and take a final glance before heading out.
